Renton Thurston

Renton Thurston, the main character from "Koukyoushihen Eureka Seven", is the son of the late military hero Adroc Thurston. He has been in love with Eureka, the pilot of the Nirvash, and is characterized by his emotionality and strong ideals. While Renton feels overshadowed by his father's legacy, he strives to find his place in the world and become a mechanic, as taught by his grandfather.
