Synopsis

Hajime Saitou is a supporting character in "Rurouni Kenshin," loosely based on the real third-squad captain of the Shinsengumi. During the Meiji era, he lived as a police officer under the name Gorou Fujita. In the series, he serves as Kenshin's old rival, adhering to the Shinsengumi code "Aku Soku Zan," which translates to "Slay Evil Immediately." His signature technique, the Gatotsu, is a left-handed thrust inspired by the real Hirazuki technique.
