Synopsis
Tooru Rikiishi is Joe's most significant rival in "Ashita no Joe". They first meet in a juvenile detention center, where Rikiishi, a former professional boxer, impresses Joe with his strength. This encounter motivates Joe to take boxing seriously, as he aims to avenge himself in a rematch against Rikiishi. Rikiishi employs various boxing styles and techniques, including powerful straight rights and uppercuts.
