Yomiko Readman is a bespectacled substitute teacher and introvert who loves books, spending most of her income on them and living in a book-filled apartment. As a secret agent for the British Library, she possesses the unique ability to manipulate paper, allowing her to create dangerous objects from simple sheets. Yomiko is the main character in the anime "R.O.D: Read or Die" and "R.O.D: The TV," which premiered in 2003.
