Synopsis
Merlin is a powerful sorcerer and headmaster of a prestigious magic academy, as well as the former student of Ephtal. She was discovered as an infant within the collapsing ruins of the Demon King's castle after his defeat, and despite being born into the Demon King's own lineage, she was taken in and raised entirely by Ephtal, inheriting both her formidable magical potential and his discipline.
In the present day, Merlin ranks among the strongest magic users alive, specializing in water and wind magic. As headmaster she guides new generations of mages, all while quietly continuing to support Ephtal from the shadows even after their roles have effectively reversed over the years. She still regards him as her true master and holds him in the deepest respect, a bond that remains one of the most important relationships in her life.
She has long silver-white hair often styled in a braid, sharp blue eyes, and pointed ears that hint at her demon heritage. Disciplined, serious and famously strict with her students, Merlin believes firmly that strength comes through effort — though beneath that authoritative exterior she is deeply loyal, and can turn impulsive or reckless the moment she senses Ephtal is in danger.
