Luigi

Luigi is a young resident of a quiet village that sits at the entrance to the Capital of the Dead, where he lives together with his older sister. Neither of them is truly alive: together they guide travelers into the eerie realm beyond the village, a duty they carry out without fully belonging to either the world of the living or the dead.

Despite his small stature, Luigi is fiercely protective of his sister and reacts sharply, even aggressively, toward strangers he suspects might mean her harm, treating her safety as more important than his own comfort or politeness. That protectiveness is really the core of his character: a boy defined less by grand ambitions than by loyalty to the one person he has left.

He is easy to recognize by his simple overalls worn over a plain t-shirt, with one strap always left hanging loose, and by his short stature and curly hair, a look that fits the quiet, unassuming village he calls home.
