Kyon from "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" is a first-year high school student known for his cynicism and disbelief in extraordinary phenomena like aliens and espers. However, his curiosity gets the better of him when he tries to talk to Haruhi Suzumiya, who starts the SOS Brigade and drags Kyon into her adventures. He is the only "normal" member of the group, possessing no special abilities at all.
