Kazuya Kujou

Kazuya Kujou is the main character in the anime "Gosick," which aired in 2011. As the youngest son of a soldier, he has struggled to live in the shadow of his more successful siblings. After realizing that adults often view the youngest child as "spoiled" and "useless," he leaves the military academy in Japan to study abroad at St. Marguerite. His appearance and the belief that "the traveler who comes in spring brings death" lead to him being called the "Reaper." By chance, he becomes a messenger and companion to the eccentric student Victorique. Initially, he dislikes her arrogance, but over time he grows to care for and protect her.
