Synopsis
Kenma Kozume is Nekoma High's setter, called the team's heart and brain by his own teammates. As a child he was withdrawn and struggled to make friends, apart from his neighbor Tetsurou Kuroo, who introduced him to volleyball almost by accident. Kenma had no real interest in sports at first, but slowly grew to enjoy the game itself much the way he enjoys the video games he treasures above almost everything else.
He is quiet, analytical, and rarely loses his composure — the rare exceptions tend to involve Hinata or a video game he's losing. Reluctant to stand out, Kenma finds it genuinely difficult to make friends and has little patience for the formalities of team seniority. Behind the low-key, almost detached manner is an exceptional tactical mind that more than makes up for what he lacks in raw power or stamina: he reads an opponent's patterns before almost anyone else on the court does.
After high school, Kenma became a university student while juggling several unlikely careers at once — stock trading, competitive gaming, content creation, and eventually running his own company.
