Synopsis
Koga is a young mononoke created — not born — through an experiment between Amagi and Jiro Azuma's father, who combined Amagi's own power with the father's resources and technology after years of failed attempts. Amagi raised him without ever revealing the truth of his origin, presenting him only as an ally in the effort to seize Rago's power, and much of Koga's sense of self was effectively shaped — imprinted — by Amagi himself, leaving him emotionally unstable and fiercely, almost childishly attached to the few things he does trust, like Rago and candy. After Amagi's fall, Koga fled the Bureau with nowhere to go, eventually finding shelter with a blind monk who offers him a simple, open-ended piece of wisdom about the kind of mononoke he might yet choose to become. Koga is easy to spot by his asymmetric white hair, a single twisted horn, and the black markings that spread around his eye when he draws on his full power.
