Deunan Knute

Deunan Knute is the main character from the anime "Appleseed," where she serves as a member of ESWAT, specializing in weapons handling and combat skills. The daughter of Carl and Dr. Gilliam Knute, she has spent much of her life in a war that has largely concluded. After being captured in a ruined city, Deunan reunites with her former lover, Briareos, who has become a cyborg. She soon finds herself embroiled in a conflict between humans and Bioroids, seeking to uncover the secrets of her past.
