Synopsis
Meg Kataoka is a student in Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Junior High School and the class's female representative. Kind, capable, and a natural leader, she's repeatedly noted for keeping the rest of the class, especially the boys, in line.
Level-headed and rational, Kataoka is good at looking after others, though in the past that quality worked against her, as people grew too used to leaning on her. A running gag in the class is that Meg has something of a relationship complex, constantly worried that she isn't feminine enough.
She ended up in Class 3-E because of falling grades caused by classmate Kokona Tagawa, who guilt-tripped her into helping with exam prep before every test. Tagawa even blamed Kataoka for nearly drowning at the beach due to poor swimming instruction, when in reality it was Tagawa's own fault for skipping her swimming lessons.
