Synopsis
Manabu Honma is the husband of Irène Honma and the father of Meiko and Satoshi Honma. A serious, reserved man, he hopes his wife will eventually come to terms with their daughter's death instead of remaining trapped in her memory. He initially refuses to let Meiko's old friends set off fireworks in her honor, but relents after Atsumu Matsuyuki asks him directly.
When the fireworks are finally lit, Manabu accompanies his wife to watch them together. He's a middle-aged man with short grey hair swept to one side, brown eyes, and brown square-rimmed glasses. His given name means study or learning, while the Honma surname means base or origin.
