Synopsis
Irène Honma is the wife of Manabu Honma and the mother of Meiko and Satoshi Honma. Despite the years that have passed since her daughter's death, she has never truly recovered from the loss and has gradually withdrawn from the world, rarely leaving the house.
In front of others, Irène tries to maintain a calm, pleasant front, but underneath it she remains consumed by grief and longing for Meiko. She isn't unkind or cold toward her husband or son, but she's so absorbed in her own sorrow that she barely notices them, which leaves Satoshi feeling almost invisible to her. She's a middle-aged woman with shoulder-length grey hair and blue eyes.
