GUMI is the official mascot character of the Megpoid program, featured in the anime "Dream Creator feat. GUMI," where she serves as the main character. GUMI is based on the singing synthesizer application software powered by Yamaha's Vocaloid2. Her name comes from the childhood nickname of her voice provider, Megumi Nakajima.
