Synopsis
Sai Fujiwara no is a spirit from the Heian era and the mentor of Hikaru Shindo in the anime "Hikaru no Go." He continuously plays Go in hopes of one day achieving the divine move, known as the Hand of God. In the manga and anime, Sai possessed the real-life figure Hon'inbo Shusaku, becoming a renowned Go player. He holds a rivalry with Koyo Toya (a.k.a. Toya Meijin) and persuades Toya to play against him through Hikaru.
