Folken Fanel

Folken Fanel is Van Fanel's older brother. He abandoned Fanelia after being sent out to retrieve a drag-energist as his rite of passage to becoming king. He joined forces with Emperor Dornkirk and the Zaibach Empire in hopes of ending war (through war, ironically). Folken is the strategist of Zaibach and, although he initially appears heartless, he reveals himself to be a profoundly brilliant and compassionate man. His conflict between his roles as commander and brother is resolved by the end of the series.
