Synopsis
Ein is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi who joins Spike aboard the Bebop after a failed bounty capture. Known as a "data dog," Ein possesses enhanced intelligence, allowing him to perform tasks beyond the capabilities of an average dog, such as answering phones and driving a car. Although he never speaks human language during the series, he does communicate with other species and even has a brief dialogue with Spike in episode 18. His name is a pun on the Japanese word for "dog" (犬 inu) and also means "one" in German.
