Synopsis
Eiji Date is a supporting character from the anime "Hajime no Ippo" and serves as a role model for Ippo despite nearing thirty. Years ago, he faced champion Ricardo Martinez in a World Title Match, suffering a knockout and serious injuries. After initially retiring to focus on family, Date returned to boxing, encouraged by his wife Aiko. His signature move is the Heartbreak Shot, a powerful corkscrew blow that immobilizes opponents.
