Synopsis
Dario Brando is a supporting character in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and the father of Dio Brando. A poor and abusive man, he spent much of his life in poverty, struggled with alcoholism, and neglected his family.
Dario was selfish, cynical, and driven by greed. He treated his son harshly, showed little parental affection, and viewed other people primarily as opportunities for personal gain. His cruel upbringing had a profound influence on Dio's personality, helping shape his ambition, ruthlessness, and relentless desire for wealth and power.
Before his death, Dario instructed Dio to seek assistance from the Joestar family, believing that an old debt between the two families would secure his son's future. This decision ultimately set in motion the long-standing conflict between the Brando and Joestar families, becoming one of the defining events of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure story.
