Synopsis
Boogiepop is the main character from the anime "Boogiepop wa Warawanai," which aired in 2000. Known among the female students of Shinyo Academy as a shinigami, Boogiepop awakens when enemies of the world appear. Their appearance and voice are ambiguous, blending masculine and feminine traits, and they are typically seen in a black cloak and pipe-shaped hat. Boogiepop speaks in an archaic manner and enjoys whistling the overture to Wagner's "Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg."
