Jet Black, known as the "Black Dog" on his home satellite, is a 36-year-old former cop from Ganymede who plays a central role in "Cowboy Bebop." Tall and muscular, with a beard and a bald head, he contrasts sharply with the lazy Spike. After losing his arm due to a betrayal by a corrupt partner, Jet left the ISSP to become a bounty hunter. A skilled fighter and mechanic, he also enjoys cooking and jazz music, naming his ship the Bebop after the genre.
