Arthur Auguste Angel

Arthur Auguste Angel is the current Paladin of the True Cross Order, its highest-ranking combat exorcist, holding meister titles as Knight, Doctor, Tamer, Dragoon, and Aria simultaneously. He was revealed to be one of the children engineered in Section 13, a clone of the demon king Lucifer, shielded from Lucifer's destructive light during the Blue Night and rescued by Jeremiah Uzai after his fellow clones perished.

Outwardly a respected and rule-abiding exorcist, Arthur enforces the Grigori's orders without deviation regardless of circumstance, and remains composed even in tense confrontations. He is also notably dense, often failing to notice when he is being mocked.

Beneath his disciplined exterior lies a much harsher, more sadistic streak reserved for anything he considers demonic in nature, including severing an opponent's leg during a trial simply to prevent violence, in his own words. His unyielding hostility toward demons puts him repeatedly at odds with exorcists more sympathetic to Rin Okumura's situation.
