Takenori Akagi

Takenori Akagi is the captain of the Shohoku basketball team and Haruko's older brother. Initially skeptical of Sakuragi's potential, whom he nicknames "Gori" due to his imposing size, Akagi eventually recognizes his abilities. Serious and disciplined, he dreams of leading Shohoku to the national championship, showcasing his determination during a match against Kainan despite a severe ankle injury. Akagi considers Uozumi from Ryonan his biggest rival, though their rivalry is marked by mutual respect.
