The events of Legend of the Armored Samurai take place 35 years after the conclusion of the original story. Long ago, the powerful demon emperor Arago sought to conquer the human world but was defeated by the legendary Armored Samurai and sealed away alongside his army in the Dark Realm. However, as the years pass, the ancient seal begins to weaken, allowing the forces of darkness to return once again.

Demons reappear across modern-day Japan, launching devastating attacks on Tokyo, Shinjuku, and other major cities. Their supernatural power proves immune to conventional weapons, leaving the military and Japan's Self-Defense Forces powerless to stop the invasion. As humanity stands on the brink of destruction, the fate of the world hangs in the balance.

To confront this new threat, the Japanese government establishes the secret DST (Special Defense Countermeasures Headquarters), led by Nasté Yagyu, one of the few survivors of the war against Arago 35 years earlier. For decades, DST has secretly prepared for the demons' return by restoring the legendary Yoroi Gear—the mystical armor of the Armored Samurai—and training a new generation of warriors destined to protect humanity.

Five young heroes, each inheriting the power of one of the five elements, awaken the ancient armor and become the new Armored Samurai. Together, they must face relentless battles against the invading demon army and the Ten Braves, Arago's most powerful generals, who seek to free their master and plunge the human world into eternal darkness.
